본문: 창세기 1장 26절

Text: Genesis 1:26

“하나님이 이르시되 우리의 형상을 따라 우리의 모양대로 우리가 사람을 만들고 그들로 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 가축과 온 땅과 땅에 기는 모든 것을 다스리게 하자 하시고”.

Then God said, "Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the livestock, the whole earth, and every living creature that moves on the earth."

서론: 우리는 누구인가?

Introduction: Who Are We?

오늘 우리는 아주 근본적이면서도 엄중한 질문 앞에 서 있습니다.

Today we stand before one of the most fundamental and serious questions of our lives.

"왜 우리는 하나님의 법을 알고 지켜야 하는가?"

"Why should we know and obey God's law?"

이 질문에 답하기 위해 우리는 먼저 더 근원적인 질문을 던져야 합니다.

Before answering that question, we must first ask an even more fundamental one.

그것은 바로 "우리는 누구인가?"라는 정체성의 문제입니다.

That question is, "Who are we?" It is a question of our identity.

우리는 지금 '인류세(Anthropocene)'라고 불리는 전 지구적 위기 속에 살고 있습니다.

Today we are living in a global crisis commonly known as the Anthropocene.

인류의 활동이 지구 환경에 결정적인 영향을 미치게 된 이 시대에, 지구는 제6차 대멸종의 위기를 경고하고 있습니다.

In this age, where human activity has become the dominant force shaping the Earth's environment, our planet is warning us of a Sixth Mass Extinction.

기후 위기, 생태계 파괴, 그리고 도덕적 무감각은 더 이상 먼 나라의 이야기가 아닙니다.

Climate change, ecological destruction, and moral indifference are no longer distant problems. They have become realities that affect every one of us.

이러한 혼돈의 시대에 하나님 나라의 백성이자 교회인 우리는 어떤 정체성을 가지고 어떻게 살아야 할까요?

In such a time of confusion, how should we live as God's people and as His Church? What identity should define our lives?

오늘 본문 창세기 1장 26절은 우리에게 그 해답을 제시합니다.

Our Scripture today, Genesis 1:26, gives us the answer.

이 말씀은 우리가 단순히 우연의 산물이 아니라, 하나님의 특별한 목적을 가진 '섭정자(Regent)'로 창조되었음을 선포합니다.

This passage declares that we are not the result of chance. Rather, we were created by God with a divine purpose to serve as His regents—His appointed representatives on earth.

우리가 하나님의 법을 알아야 하는 이유는 우리가 바로 그분의 통치를 대행하는 대리인이기 때문입니다.

The reason we must know God's law is because we have been entrusted to represent His rule and carry out His will on the earth.

이제 본론을 통해 이 영광스러운 부르심과 법의 가치를 깊이 생각해 보겠습니다.

Let us now reflect more deeply on this glorious calling and the immeasurable value of God's law.

본론 1: 하나님의 형상과 섭정자의 소명

   1.  The Image of God and the Calling of His Regents

1.1 하나님의 형상(Imago Dei)이라는 영광

1.1 The Glory of Being Created in the Image of God (Imago Dei)

하나님께서는 인간을 만드실 때 다른 피조물과는 전혀 다른 원칙을 세우셨습니다.

When God created humanity, He established a principle that was completely different from the way He created every other living creature.

바로 "우리의 형상을 따라 우리의 모양대로 만들고"

He declared, "Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness."

여기서 '형상'과 '모양'은 외형적인 닮음이 아니라 하나님의 성품, 즉 공의, 사랑, 거룩, 그리고 다스리는 권세를 의미합니다.

The words "image" and "likeness" do not refer to our physical appearance. Rather, they describe God's own character—His righteousness, His love, His holiness, and His royal authority to rule.

우리가 하나님의 법을 지켜야 하는 첫 번째 이유는 우리 안에 하나님의 DNA가 새겨져 있기 때문입니다.

The first reason we should obey God's law is that God's own spiritual DNA has been imprinted upon our lives.

법은 그 나라 국민의 수준과 정체성을 반영합니다.

The laws of a nation always reflect the identity and character of its citizens.

우리가 하나님의 법을 지킬 때, 비로소 우리는 짐승과 구별된 '하나님의 자녀'로서의 품격을 회복하게 됩니다.

Only when we live according to God's law do we truly recover the dignity of being God's children, set apart from all other creatures.

1.2 섭정자로서의 통치 위임

1.2 Entrusted with Authority as God's Regents

하나님께서는 인간을 창조하실 때에 "다스리게 하자"는 특권을 부여하셨습니다.

When God created humanity, He entrusted us with the privilege of ruling over His creation.

이는 억압하고 파괴하는 독재자가 아니라, 왕이신 하나님의 뜻을 받들어 만물을 돌보는 '섭정자'의 삶을 의미합니다.

This does not mean ruling as dictators who exploit and destroy. Instead, it means living as God's regents, faithfully caring for His creation according to the will of the King.

섭정자는 자기 마음대로 통치하는 자가 아닙니다.

A regent never rules according to his own desires.

왕의 법을 가장 잘 알고, 그 법의 정신에 따라 백성과 영토를 다스리는 자입니다.

A true regent is one who knows the King's law, understands the spirit of that law, and governs the people and the land accordingly.

1.3 인류세의 위기와 우리의 책임

1.3 The Crisis of the Anthropocene and Our Responsibility

현대의 환경 위기는 인간이 섭정자의 본분을 잊고 '포악한 지배자'가 되었기 때문에 발생했습니다.

Much of today's environmental crisis exists because humanity has forgotten its calling as God's regents and has chosen instead to become ruthless rulers.

하나님의 법인 '생명 존중'과 '질서'를 무시한 결과, 피조 세계는 신음하고 있습니다(롬 8:22).

Because humanity has ignored God's laws of honoring life and preserving His created order, all creation is now groaning under the weight of sin, just as Romans 8:22 declares.

우리가 다시 하나님의 법으로 돌아가야 하는 이유는 깨어진 창조 질서를 회복할 책임이 우리에게 있기 때문입니다.

The reason we must return to God's law is that He has entrusted us with the responsibility of restoring His broken creation and participating in His work of renewal.

본론 2: 하나님 법의 성격과 영원성

II. The Nature and Eternal Authority of God's Law

2.1 하나님 나라의 법체계

2.1 The Legal Order of God's Kingdom

세상의 모든 국가에는 헌법과 민법, 형법이 존재합니다.

Every nation in the world is governed by a legal system, including constitutional law, civil law, and criminal law.

그 나라에 거주하는 사람은 그 나라의 법을 준수해야 할 의무가 있으며, 이를 어길 시 범법자가 됩니다.

Anyone who lives in that nation has the responsibility to obey its laws. Those who violate them become lawbreakers.

마찬가지로 우리는 하나님 나라의 시민권자입니다(빌립보서 3:20).

Likewise, we are citizens of the Kingdom of God, as Philippians 3:20 reminds us.

하나님의 법은 단순한 윤리 지침이 아닙니다.

God's law is far more than a collection of moral guidelines.

이것은 하나님 나라의 헌법입니다.

It is the very constitution of God's Kingdom.

정의(Justice): 굽은 것을 펴고 억눌린 자를 자유케 하는 기준입니다.

Justice is God's standard for making what is crooked straight and bringing freedom to those who are oppressed.

거룩(Holiness): 세상과 구별되어 하나님의 성품을 반영하는 기준입니다.

Holiness is God's standard that calls His people to be set apart from the world and to reflect His holy character.

질서(Order): 창조 세계가 조화롭게 운행되도록 하는 기준입니다.

Order is God's principle that enables His creation to flourish in harmony according to His design.

2.2 영원한 기준으로서의 법

2.2 God's Law as the Eternal Standard

세상의 법은 시대와 상황에 따라 변합니다.

Human laws change with cultures, governments, and the passing of time.

그러나 하나님의 법은 영원합니다.

But God's law never changes because God Himself is eternal.

"천지는 없어지겠으나 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라." (마태복음 24:35)

Jesus declared, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

이 법은 이 땅에서만 유효한 것이 아니라 영원한 천국에서도 적용되는 전우주적 원리입니다.

God's law is not limited to this present world. It is an eternal principle that governs both heaven and earth.

그러므로 우리가 이 땅에서 하나님의 법을 배우고 실천하는 것은 영원한 하나님 나라의 삶을 연습하는 과정입니다.

Therefore, learning and obeying God's law here on earth is preparation for living eternally in His Kingdom.

2.3 사랑과 생명의 법

2.3 The Law of Love and Life

하나님의 법을 엄격한 규율로만 보아서는 안 됩니다.

We should never think of God's law as nothing more than a strict set of rules.

로마서 8장 2절은 이를 "생명의 성령의 법"이라 부릅니다.

Romans 8:2 calls it "the law of the Spirit who gives life."

이 법의 핵심은 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑하는 것입니다.

At the very heart of God's law is this: to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

이 법을 지킬 때 우리는 비로소 죄의 권세로부터 자유로워지며 참된 생명을 누릴 수 있습니다.

As we walk in obedience to this law, we are set free from the power of sin and experience the fullness of true life.

본론 3: 성령 안에서 준행- 회복과 행복으로 가는 길

III. Walking in Obedience Through the Holy Spirit: The Path to Restoration and True Happiness

3.1 타락한 인간의 한계와 성령의 도우심

3.1 Human Weakness and the Help of the Holy Spirit

우리는 본질적으로 죄인입니다.

By our very nature, we are sinners.

우리 자신의 의지로는 하나님의 거룩한 법을 온전히 지킬 수 없습니다.

No matter how hard we try, we cannot perfectly obey God's holy law by our own strength.

바울 사도는 "오호라 나는 곤고한 사람이로다"라고 탄식했습니다.

The Apostle Paul cried out, "What a wretched man I am!"

그러나 복음은 우리에게 소망을 줍니다.

But the Gospel brings us hope.

하나님께서는 새 언약을 통해 우리 마음에 법을 새겨 주시고 성령을 보내주셨습니다.

Through the New Covenant, God has written His law upon our hearts and given us the Holy Spirit.

"내 영을 너희 속에 두어 너희로 내 율례를 행하게 하리니..." (에스겔 36:27)

"I will put My Spirit within you and move you to follow My decrees and carefully keep My laws." (Ezekiel 36:27)

우리가 하나님의 법을 지키는 것은 내 노력이 아니라 내 안의 성령님께 순종할 때 가능해집니다.

Obeying God's law is not accomplished by human determination alone, but by yielding ourselves to the Holy Spirit who lives within us.

3.2 만물 회복의 도구로서의 교회

3.2 The Church as God's Instrument for the Restoration of Creation

하나님의 법을 지키는 교회는 세상 속에서 대안적 사회가 되어야 합니다.

A church that lives according to God's law should become an alternative community in the midst of a broken world.

갈등이 있는 곳에 화평을, 파괴된 곳에서 회복을, 무너진 곳에 세움을 가져오는 공동체가 되어야 합니다.

We are called to bring peace where there is conflict, restoration where there is destruction, and hope where there is despair.

이는 필리핀 바기오 오지에서부터 세계 열방에 이르기까지 하나님의 법이 선포되는 곳마다 일어나는 생명의 역사입니다.

From the mountains of Baguio in the Philippines to the ends of the earth, wherever God's Word is proclaimed, His restoring power brings new life.

3.3 영원한 행복으로의 초대

3.3 An Invitation to Everlasting Joy

하나님께서 우리에게 법을 주신 궁극적인 이유는 우리를 억압하기 위함이 아니라 행복하게 하기 위함입니다(신명기 10:13).

God did not give us His law to burden or imprison us. He gave it because He desires our true joy and everlasting blessing (Deuteronomy 10:13).

법의 테두리 안에 있을 때, 마치 물고기가 물속에서 자유롭듯 인간은 하나님의 통치 아래 있을 때 가장 안전하고 행복합니다.

Just as a fish experiences true freedom only in the water, we experience true freedom, security, and joy only when we live under the loving rule of God.

이것이 우리가 하나님의 법을 즐거워하며 지켜야 할 이유입니다.

That is why we delight in God's law and joyfully choose to walk in obedience to Him.

결론: 하나님의 영광을 위한 특별한 부르심

Conclusion: A Special Calling for the Glory of God

사랑하는 성도 여러분,

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

오늘 우리가 이 자리에 모인 것은 결코 우연의 산물이 아니라, 창세 전부터 계획된 하나님의 세밀한 섭리입니다.

Our gathering here today is not the result of coincidence. It is the fruit of God's sovereign plan, established even before the foundation of the world.

우리는 단순히 세상을 살아가는 존재가 아니라, 하나님의 특별한 은혜로 선택받아 세워진 '거룩한 왕 같은 제사장들'입니다.

We are not merely people trying to survive in this world. By God's amazing grace, we have been chosen to be a holy and royal priesthood, called to represent His Kingdom.

이제 우리는 가슴 깊은 곳에서 울려 퍼지는 하나님의 음성을 들으며 스스로에게 다시 질문을 던져야 합니다.

Therefore, let us listen carefully to the voice of God speaking deep within our hearts and ask ourselves these important questions.

나는 누구입니까?

Who am I?

나는 단순한 존재가 아니라 만물을 다스리시는 하나님의 형상을 닮은 거룩한 대리 통치자이자 섭정자입니다.

I am not an ordinary human being. I have been created in the image of God and appointed to be His holy representative and faithful regent over His creation.

나의 비전은 무엇입니까?

What is my vision?

그것은 나만의 성공이 아니라, 무너진 이 땅에 하나님의 공의로운 법을 실현하여 그분의 나라를 끝없이 확장하는 것입니다.

My vision is not merely personal success. It is to establish God's righteousness in a broken world and faithfully participate in the expansion of His Kingdom.

이 세상에서 가장 가치 있고 영광스러운 삶은 무엇입니까?

What is the most honorable and meaningful life anyone can live?

그것은 오직 창조주 하나님의 이름을 높이고 그분의 영광을 위해 나의 전부를 드리는 삶입니다.

It is a life that exalts the name of our Creator and joyfully offers everything we have for His glory.

비록 인류세의 위기와 어둠이 우리를 엄습할지라도, 우리는 절망에 주저앉는 자들이 아니라 만물을 새롭게 회복시키시는 하나님의 위대한 동역자들입니다.

Although the darkness and crises of the Anthropocene surround us, we are not people of despair. We are God's fellow workers, called to participate in His work of restoring all creation.

그러므로 더욱 간절히 하나님을 아는 지식 안에서 자라나며, 그분의 진리의 법을 주야로 즐거워하며 깊이 묵상하십시오.

Therefore, let us continue growing in the knowledge of God, delighting in His truth, and meditating on His Word day and night.

우리가 발을 딛고 있는 이 필리핀과 열방, 그리고 고통 속에 신음하는 모든 피조 세계가 하나님의 법 안에서 온전히 치유될 그날을 뜨겁게 갈망합시다.

Let us eagerly long for the day when the Philippines, every nation, and all creation that now groans in suffering will be completely restored under the righteous reign of God.

오늘 하루도 하나님의 섭정자라는 거룩한 자부심을 가지고, 세상 속에서 당당하고 승리하는 삶을 살아가시기를 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복합니다.

May each of you go forth today with the holy confidence of being God's appointed regents, living courageously and victoriously in this world. I bless you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 가지신 살아 계신 하나님 아버지,

Heavenly Father, the living God who possesses all authority in heaven and on earth,

오늘 우리는 거룩한 하나님의 음성을 마음에 새기며 이 자리에 섰습니다.

Today we stand before You with hearts that have received and embraced Your holy Word.

무질서와 혼돈 속에서 빛을 비추시고 생명이 없는 곳에 생명을 불어넣으시는 주님의 사랑을 찬양합니다.

We praise You because You bring light into darkness, order into chaos, and life where there was once only death.

주님, 먼저 우리의 죄를 회개합니다.

Lord, we first come before You in sincere repentance.

우리를 만물의 주인이 아니라 주님의 뜻을 이루는 섭정자로 세우셨지만, 우리는 탐욕과 교만으로 창조세계를 훼손하였습니다.

Although You appointed us to be faithful stewards of Your creation, we have often acted with pride and greed, abusing what You entrusted to our care.

우리의 죄를 용서하여 주옵소서.

Merciful Father, forgive us for our sins.

우리 안에 잃어버린 하나님의 형상을 회복시켜 주옵소서.

Restore within us the beauty of Your image that has been marred by sin.

우리의 삶이 하나님의 거룩함과 사랑과 공의를 세상에 나타내는 거울이 되게 하옵소서.

May our lives become living reflections of Your holiness, Your love, and Your righteousness before the world.

성도 한 사람 한 사람이 하늘 시민권자의 정체성을 회복하게 하옵소서.

Restore in every believer the confidence and dignity of being a citizen of Your heavenly Kingdom.

주의 말씀이 꿀보다 더 달게 느껴지는 은혜를 허락하여 주옵소서.

Grant us hearts that delight in Your Word, finding it sweeter than honey.

특별히 이 나라 필리핀을 축복하여 주옵소서.

Lord, we especially lift up the nation of the Philippines before You.

이 아름다운 땅이 인간의 탐욕으로 더 이상 훼손되지 않게 하시고 창조세계를 보호하는 지혜를 허락하여 주옵소서.

Protect this beautiful land from human greed and grant its people the wisdom to care faithfully for Your creation.

기후 위기로 고통받는 이웃들을 위로하시고 우리 교회가 생명을 살리는 공동체가 되게 하옵소서.

Comfort those who suffer because of the climate crisis, and make Your Church a community that protects life and brings hope to the hurting.

바기오 산지에서부터 세계 열방에 이르기까지 하나님의 말씀이 선포되는 곳마다 회복의 역사가 일어나게 하옵소서.

From the mountains of Baguio to the ends of the earth, may Your Word bring healing, restoration, and new life wherever it is proclaimed.

성령 하나님, 우리를 도와 주옵소서.

Holy Spirit, strengthen and guide us.

우리 마음에 새겨진 생명의 법이 우리의 삶 속에서 아름답게 나타나게 하옵소서.

May the law of life written upon our hearts be clearly seen through the way we live each day.

우리의 가정과 일터와 교회가 하나님 나라를 나타내는 거룩한 공동체가 되게 하옵소서.

May our homes, workplaces, and churches become living testimonies of Your Kingdom.

우리가 서 있는 곳마다 치유와 화평과 정의가 이루어지게 하옵소서.

May healing, peace, and justice follow wherever You send us.

인류세의 어두움을 거두시고 하나님의 새 창조를 이루실 주님을 찬양합니다.

We praise You, Lord, for You alone will remove the darkness of the Anthropocene and bring about the glory of Your new creation.

세상으로 나아가는 우리의 발걸음이 복음을 전하는 발걸음이 되게 하시고 우리의 삶이 예수 그리스도를 증거하게 하옵소서.

As we leave this place, may every step we take proclaim the Gospel, and may every aspect of our lives bear witness to Jesus Christ.

우리를 하나님의 형상으로 창조하시고 영원한 나라의 상속자로 삼아 주신 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다.

We pray all these things in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who created us in the image of God and made us heirs of His everlasting Kingdom.
