To Know and To Love

Pauline Del Rosario · 2026. 8. 3.

Verse 1 You made us in Your image, Lord, with dignity and grace, With languages and histories in every time and place. To understand the human heart, the stories that we tell, We seek the depth of meaning where the souls of people dwell. Through literature and wisdom, through the cultures we embrace, We learn to share Your Gospel, Lord, with reverence and grace. Chorus We are stewards of Your world in this Anthropocene, Seeking holistic restoration where Your love is seen. From the healing of the earth to the healing of the soul, Through the knowledge of humanity, Your Spirit makes us whole. Bring the New Heaven and New Earth, let every nation sing, As we use our minds and hands to serve our coming King! Verse 2 We study how communities are gathered and sustained, To see where systems falter and where justice is restrained. By observing and by listening to the burdens people bear, We cross the cultural divides to show them that we care. Not just for spiritual rebirth, but physical relief, We use the tools of science, Lord, to minister belief. Bridge Like Paul within the ancient square, we learn before we speak, Integrating all we know to find the lost and weak. Theology our guiding light, Your Word our solid ground, With sciences and humanities, Your saving grace is found. Outro With clarity and credibility, with transformative power, We stand as faithful messengers in this appointed hour. Redeeming every culture, Lord, restoring all creation, We offer up our minds and hearts to serve in every nation. Amen.
